Catalyx are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to work on our customer site in Dublin. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for our team of Distribution Specialists. The position will require the candidate to liaise with the client site and the Catalyx Management team.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for co-ordinating and managing Distribution Specialists to ensure effective operation to meet agreed KPIs.   

  • Drive’s the team’s performance through effective communication and engagement so that every individual understands their contribution.

  • Deliver on agreed KPIs and metrics.

  • Plan day-to-day schedules to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of daily/weekly orders.

  • Manage Goods Inwards, supervise order fulfilment and goods outwards.

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure targets and order schedules are met.

  • Ensure compliance with EHS & Company policies & procedures including employment legislation.

  • Ensure that productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly.

  • Ensure any issues involving plant breakdowns, stock problems or product quality are dealt with promptly.

  • Attend team meetings for metric reporting, status updates, and escalating any issues to the Director of FSP.

  • Provide Leadership and support to the Distribution Team ensuring they can operate to optimum efficiency and in compliance with GMP standards.

  • Co-Ordinate and monitor training requirements and completion for the team.

  • Act as point of contact for the team to escalate and resolve any issues.

  • Manage team leave and time and attendance.

  • Provide regular hands-on guidance, mentoring and coaching of team members in best warehouse practices.

  • Conduct regular 1:1 and performance management evaluations with team members.

  • Support and promote recognition of the team and instil a positive team environment with open communication.

  • Management and motivation of Warehouse staff to ensure high performance and engaged team, including cross training.

  • Ensure the team adhere consistently to SOPs and cGMPs.

  • Escalate deviations in process or product to Director of FSP.

  • Manage and address any performance and personnel issues.

  • Present monthly to Client on KPIs, Service, People, Delivery and Safety.

  • Build, develop, and maintain relationships with the client, ensuring we meet and exceed their agreed service standards.

  • Build relationships with all stakeholders of the business, i.e. Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, external warehouse and third-party logistics

  • Strengthening the image and reputation of the business by adding value to the client

  • Constantly looking for continuous improvement initiatives and projects in the Warehouse to improve quality, service and cost

  • Implement and manage all company change initiatives efficiently and effectively.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A proven track record within the freight and warehousing distribution industry including an awareness of relevant legislation.

  • Managing all warehouse activities in accordance with relevant pharma industry Good Distribution Practices (GDP), which include material flows, space optimization, inventory control, outbound distribution to end customers.

  • Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management within Logistics management in a 3PL environment with a proven knowledge of the International Freight & Contact Logistics business and they key industry players.

  • Proven track record and hands on experience with SAP S4 Hanna ERP, WMS / IM and TMS systems in general.

  • Proven track record with working within an AEO and Known consignor accredited facility. 

  • Strong leadership, decision-making and influencing skills to drive results and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent knowledge of GMP/GDP QA and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Previous experience or working knowledge of the Lean principles and methodologies would be a distinct advantage.

  • Strong customer service and relationship building focus

  • 5 years’ + experience in the logistics/ warehouse management in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience of successfully leading a warehouse team.

  • Possess strong leadership, communication, planning, people leadership and organising skills.

  • Can-do attitude in day-to-day business tasks with a proactive approach

  • Strong project management, coordination, and time management skills

  • Strong influence with the ability to challenge and implement change.

  • Strong People Management experience

  • Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency

  • Good communicator and able to motivate a team.

  • Ability to drive performance, seeking root cause to business problems and design and deliver practical solutions to resolve.

  • Have a thorough understanding of all aspects of warehouse management.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism.

  • Exposure to and knowledge of Operational Excellence techniques

  • Demonstrated IT skills i.e., QMS systems, ERP systems, Microsoft office applications.

  • Demonstrated problem solver.

  • Drive change through personal actions, inspiring others to do the same.

  • Demonstrates familiarity with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records while recognising deviations from accepted practice.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with established interpersonal skills.

  • Proven attention to detail
