The Role :
The Senior Test Team Lead oversees the testing lifecycle of Catalyx product development lifecycles.
Responsibilities include creating test strategies, leading test planning, coordinating testing efforts, managing testing teams, and ensuring the quality of all product deliverables with a right first time attitude. They will provide leadership, guidance and direction to the testing team responsible for the manual and automated testing of Catalyx Products.
The Senior Test Team Lead collaborates with the Catalyx product managers, quality and development teams, establishing testing standards, analysing requirements, and communicating test progress to all stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead a cross functional testing team (local / remote), covering both automated and manual testing, to deliver excellence in the testing lifecycles of high-quality product deliveries within effective timelines
Provide leadership including direction, guidance, mentorship, and support to all team members.
Test Strategy and Planning:
Develop, plan and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned with all product goals and objectives
Create detailed test plans, considering the scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
Ensure that testing specifications (test cases and test scripts) are rigorous and aligned with product design goals
Perform test related risk assessment and impact analysis throughout the lifecycle
Test Design and Execution:
Design and/or review test cases and test scripts for various types of testing (automation, functional, non-functional, regression, etc.).
Oversee the execution of test cases and ensure thorough test coverage.
Ensure management of all testing artefacts produced and traceability of the tests as per the SDLC process
Automation Strategy:
Define and implement a test automation strategy delivering the maximum automation coverage feasible in a repeatable testing lifecycle.
Drive the evaluation, implementation, and/or improvement of all test automation frameworks ensuring the most efficient tools are utilised to maximise the best value results.
Ensure the successful execution of the test automation strategy is achieved by the test team with clear KPIs and in line with all Product Lifecycle delivery frameworks.
Maximise the automation testing to maintain repeatable script execution at all stages of the Product Lifecyle to improve the deliverables quality at the earliest possible stages throughout all product deliveries.
Performance Monitoring:
Define and track key testing metrics to assess progress, identify trends, and report on the overall quality of the software.
Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering (desirable not mandatory)
A proven track record in leading remote test teams in delivering high value technical solutions within an Agile environment is essential
Experience delivering products within validated life sciences industries including knowledge of regulatory requirements and structured standards and practices for regulated Industry including FDA ¦ GAMP ¦ 21CFR11 is highly desirable.
ISTQB Advanced Level certification (CTAL-TM) or similar related qualification.
In-dept knowledge of Test Management systems and SDLC processes
Proven track record in delivering with test automation tools and frameworks to provide measurable testing efficiency.
Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines including in house Engineering, Operations, Quality and Product Development, partners and contractors, as well as customer IT, Validation and Operations groups
