We are seeking an experienced and driven New Business Development Executive to focus on selling large-scale projects and staffing solutions within the Life Sciences sector to the North American market.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the life sciences industry however we will consider strong sales executives from alternative backgrounds where they have a proven track record in selling engineering, staff augmentation and / or large-scale outsourcing programs to large multinational clients in alternative industry sectors.
This role will only work for someone who thrives in a sales environment, can secure business from lead to purchase order and someone who is highly- motivated to succeed.

Currently, the Lifecycle Services division employs over 250 people, 80% of the workforce who are deployed to client sites on projects or assignments are full-time employees. This workforce is then supplemented by contingent labour for onsite assignments / projects as required.
Responsibilities:
· Client Acquisition & Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with life sciences companies for large-scale projects and staffing solutions, everything from Engineering Services, Staff Augmentation, Project / Program Management to large scale functional outsourcing programs.
· Project-Based Selling: Partner with clients to understand complex project needs within life sciences, such as clinical trials, regulatory affairs, R&D, and manufacturing. Offer bespoke staffing and project management solutions to support the execution of these large-scale initiatives.
· Industry Expertise: Stay up to date with trends, regulations, and advancements within the life sciences industry. Leverage this knowledge to educate clients and offer solutions that are aligned with industry standards and requirements.
· Tailored Staffing Solutions: Provide customized staffing strategies based on the client’s specific needs in areas such as regulatory compliance, clinical research, product development, and quality assurance.
· Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on expanding the company’s footprint within the life sciences industry. Identify key target accounts, manage the sales pipeline, and achieve or exceed sales targets.
· Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including HR leaders, Site Directors, Automation Leaders, Project Managers, and C-suite executives within life sciences companies.
· Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Talent Acquisition teams’ delivery and operations, and project management, to ensure high-quality and timely execution of client projects and staffing placements.
· Negotiation & Contracting: Lead negotiations on project scope, pricing, and contracts, ensuring that deals are both profitable and aligned with client expectations.
· Account Management: Maintain and grow existing client relationships by offering continued support and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
· Reporting & Forecasting: Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline management, and market intelligence. Provide accurate forecasting to the leadership team on revenue and client growth.
Skills and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field (preferred not essential).
o 3-8 years of sales experience, with a proven track record in B2B sales within the life sciences industry.
o Experience selling large-scale projects, engineering services and/or staffing solutions is essential.
o Knowledge of life sciences sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical research, medical devices, and healthcare is a significant advantage.
o Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, meet, or exceed sales targets.
o Previous experience in selling services, outsourcing programs, staffing solutions or consulting solutions for life sciences companies but other industries will be considered for the right person.
o Established network within the life sciences sector, including contacts in biotech, pharma, and clinical research organizations would be advantageous.
o Experience with complex sales cycles and long-term client engagements.
o Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
o Ability to understand and address complex client needs related to life sciences projects.
o Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Comprehensive understanding of life sciences industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and key business drivers.
o Knowledge of key functional areas such as clinical trials, R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
o Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients by focusing on long-term success and delivering value.
o Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
