The Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metrology Engineer to join our team. The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing measurement systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in metrology, engineering, and a strong background in mathematics.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing calibration and verification procedures on measurement instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Selecting appropriate measurement instruments and equipment for specific applications based on accuracy requirements, budget constraints, and technological advancements.

  • Developing and implementing measurement methods and procedures to accurately assess various parameters such as dimensions, surface roughness, temperature, pressure, and electrical properties.

  • Collaborating with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for manufactured products by conducting inspections, analyzing measurement data, and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Investigating and resolving measurement-related issues and anomalies by analyzing data, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Documenting calibration procedures, measurement results, and equipment maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems. Generating reports and communicating findings to stakeholders.

  • Providing training and technical support to operators, technicians, and engineers on proper measurement techniques, instrument usage, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Participating in research and development projects to improve measurement technologies, develop new measurement techniques, and enhance overall measurement capabilities.

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and ASME Y14.5, as well as regulatory requirements related to metrology and quality assurance.


Requirements:

  • Proficient in writing and editing CMM programs.

  • Proficient in set-up and operation of inspection equipment.

  • Proficient in metrology methods/technology.

  • Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and the application of Geometric GD&T per ASME Y14.5 .

  • Proficient in mathematical applications- Algebra, Geometry, & Trigonometry.
