We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CSV/IT Engineer to join our team and work on our customer site in Cork. This role will be pivotal in managing the infrastructure and software that supports the lab, ensuring qualification of equipment, validation of software as well as seamless data movement and database management.
Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications.
· Validate software for lab instruments.
· Install, configure, and maintain servers to support business-critical applications.
· Monitor server performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
· Design, implement, and maintain databases to support operational needs.
· Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility as well as compliance with regulations including CFR11
· Perform regular data backups, migrations, and restorations.
· Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
· Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless connectivity across systems.
· Implement tools and protocols to ensure data integrity during transfer.
· Optimize data movement processes for speed and accuracy.
· Perform computer system validation (CSV) in compliance with regulatory standards.
· Support IT infrastructure and provide ongoing support within the lab environments
· Ensure compliance with laboratory IT requirements and standards.
· Collaborate with lab personnel to optimize IT systems for research and development activities.
Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in IT engineering, computer system validation, and/or database management.
· Strong knowledge of networking, server management, and data handling protocols.
· Experience with computer system validation (CSV) and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO).
· Proficiency in software validation, installation, and configuration.
· Familiarity with lab environments and laboratory IT systems is an advantage.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
